Service info and troubleshooting

VLK Portal Won't Load at All

If the VLKK e-services portal returns a blank page or times out, start with the basics: clear your browser cache and cookies, then try a hard reload. If that doesn't help, switch to a different browser entirely — Chromium-based browsers tend to work more reliably with Lithuanian government portals. Check whether your DNS resolver is causing delays by switching to 8.8.8.8 temporarily.

Login Fails Despite Correct Credentials

Authentication on the VLK personal account goes through national identity verification systems, so the issue is often not with your password but with the identity provider session. Log out of any other government portals you have open, clear the session cookies, and try again. If you use a smart card or mobile signature, make sure the signing app is updated and the certificate hasn't expired.

Mobile App Freezes or Won't Open
  • Force-close the app completely, don't just minimize it
  • Check that your device OS meets the minimum version requirement
  • Delete the app cache from system settings, not from within the app itself
  • If the app still freezes on the loading screen, reinstall it from the official store
Documents or Forms Refuse to Submit

Submission failures are usually caused by a session timeout or an attachment that exceeds the file size limit. Fill out long forms in one sitting and keep file sizes under 5 MB. PDF files scanned at 300 DPI are the safest format for document uploads on government platforms.

Compensation Status Doesn't Update

If your reimbursement or compensation status appears stuck, it may be a display cache issue rather than a real processing delay. Log out, wait a few minutes, and log back in. If the status hasn't changed after 24 hours and you have a submission confirmation, contact the support line directly rather than resubmitting — duplicate requests slow processing down.

Search Returns No Results
  • Try shorter, broader search terms — the internal search is sensitive to exact phrasing
  • Avoid special characters or abbreviations in the query field
  • Switch the interface language and search again if the first attempt fails
Slow Response Times on the Portal

High latency on the portal is often a local network problem. Run a quick speed test and check whether other government sites respond normally. If your connection is fine but the portal is sluggish, try accessing it during off-peak hours — early morning typically gives the fastest response times for Lithuanian public service platforms.
