If the G4S website refuses to open, start with the basics: clear your browser cache and cookies, then try a different browser entirely. DNS issues can also block access — switch your DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 in your network settings. If the site loads on mobile data but not Wi-Fi, the problem is likely on your router side. Restart it and check if your ISP has any filtering rules affecting the connection.
Wrong credentials are the obvious cause, but not always the real one. Check that Caps Lock is off and that your keyboard language is set correctly. If you're certain the password is right, try resetting it — the reset email sometimes lands in spam. Browser autofill can also substitute outdated credentials without you noticing, so clear the saved password for the site and type it manually.
Force-close the app and reopen it first. If it keeps freezing, check whether an update is available — older app versions often break after a server-side update. On Android, clearing the app cache from settings fixes most freezing issues without losing your data. On iOS, deleting and reinstalling is usually the faster fix.
Push notifications fail when the app doesn't have permission to send them. Go to your device notification settings and confirm G4S has full permission. Background app refresh must also be enabled, otherwise the app can't fetch new alerts when it's not open. If email notifications are missing, check your spam folder and whitelist the sender domain.
Run a speed test to rule out a general internet issue. If your connection is fine but the service feels sluggish, the problem is usually server load on their end. Switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data — or the other way around — sometimes helps if one path is congested. Avoid peak hours when possible, typically early evening on weekdays.
