If the app freezes on launch or shows a blank screen, start with clearing the app cache. On Android, go to Settings, find Trafi in the app list, and clear cached data. On iOS, delete and reinstall the app — it's the fastest way to reset a corrupted local state. Also check that you're running a supported OS version; older system versions often cause silent compatibility failures.
Wrong credentials are the obvious cause, but not the only one. Session tokens can expire unexpectedly, especially after a long period of inactivity. Try logging out completely, clearing the app data, and signing in again. If you use a social login method, check that the linked account is still active and accessible. A temporary server-side authentication issue is also possible — waiting 10–15 minutes and retrying usually resolves it.
Trafi relies on live data feeds from transit operators. If departure times are frozen or routes show outdated info:
A frozen map usually points to a rendering issue or low available memory. Close background apps to free up RAM, then reopen the route planner. If the map tiles don't load at all, the problem is almost certainly network-related — check your signal strength and try switching to a different connection.
Failed payments inside the app can have several causes. First, verify that your card details are entered correctly and that the card supports online transactions. Some banks block in-app purchases by default — contact your bank to confirm there's no restriction. If the payment screen hangs after confirmation, don't retry immediately; check your bank statement first to avoid duplicate charges. Unstable internet during checkout is a common trigger, so switch to a stable connection before attempting again.
If departure alerts and service updates stop coming, go to your device notification settings and confirm that permissions are granted for the app. On Android, also check that battery optimization isn't killing background processes. Re-enabling notifications from inside the app settings can re-register the device token with the push service.
