The Žiogas app sometimes fails to start after a phone update or when the device storage is nearly full. Force-close the app, clear its cache in your phone settings, and relaunch. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall the latest version from the App Store or Google Play. Make sure your OS version meets the minimum requirements listed in the store description.
After topping up your transit card, the balance can take a few minutes to sync. Pull down to refresh the balance screen. If the number stays the same after five minutes, log out and back in. Persistent delays usually mean a temporary issue on the server side — wait 10–15 minutes and check again.
A failed top-up is often caused by one of these:
If you can't log in, first try resetting your password through the email recovery option. Check that you're entering the email address associated with your Žiogas account, not a social login. If the confirmation email never arrives, look in the spam folder and make sure your mailbox isn't full.
A frozen screen usually points to a weak mobile signal or an unstable Wi-Fi connection. Switch between mobile data and Wi-Fi to see which performs better. If the interface locks up during payment, don't tap repeatedly — wait 30 seconds, then check your card balance before retrying to avoid a double charge.
Transaction history fails to load when the connection drops mid-request. This section is data-heavy, so it needs a stable connection. Move to an area with better signal and reload. If the list loads but shows no recent trips, the records may still be processing — they typically appear within an hour.
Go to your phone's notification settings and confirm that notifications for the app are enabled. On Android, also check that battery optimization isn't blocking background activity for the app. On iOS, a reinstall often restores notification delivery if toggling permissions alone doesn't fix it.
