If the app freezes on launch or crashes immediately, start with the basics: force-close it, then reopen. If that doesn't help, clear the app cache in your phone settings. On Android, go to app info and tap clear cache. On iOS, delete and reinstall the app — there's no manual cache clear option. Make sure your OS version meets the minimum requirements listed in the app store, since outdated system versions often cause silent compatibility failures.
This usually comes down to one of three things: a session conflict, a forgotten password change, or a temporary account lock after multiple failed attempts. Use the password reset flow through your registered email. If the reset email never arrives, check the spam folder and make sure the address you're entering matches the one used during registration. Waiting 15–30 minutes before retrying can also help if the account got temporarily locked.
SMS confirmations can get stuck due to carrier filtering or temporary routing issues. If the message doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check that your phone number in the profile is entered correctly with the full country code. Try requesting the code again once — but avoid rapid repeated attempts, as that can trigger a cooldown. If SMS consistently fails, check whether the service supports confirmation via email as a fallback.
Slow or unstable mobile internet is almost always the cause. Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi or vice versa to rule out a local signal issue. If the map loads but shows no cars in an area where you'd normally expect them, pull down to refresh or fully restart the app — the location layer sometimes gets stuck on a cached state and stops updating live availability.
Mid-rental freezes are more stressful since you may need to end the trip. If the end rental button becomes unresponsive, force-close and reopen the app — your active session is stored server-side and won't be lost. If the interface stays frozen after restarting, try switching networks. As a last resort, the CityBee support line can manually close a session on their end, so keep that number saved before you drive.
