If the Elektrum website fails to open, start with the basics: clear your browser cache and cookies, then try a different browser entirely. If that doesn't help, flush your DNS cache — on Windows, run ipconfig /flushdns in the command prompt. Check whether the issue is device-specific by opening the site on your phone or another computer. Temporary server-side outages do happen, so waiting 10–15 minutes and retrying often resolves it.
Authentication errors usually come down to a few causes:
A failed payment in the Elektrum account can be caused by your bank's transaction limits or a card that requires 3D Secure confirmation. Check your bank app for any blocked transaction notifications. If the payment form freezes mid-process, don't submit again immediately — wait a few minutes and check your payment history first to avoid a duplicate charge. Switching to a different browser sometimes fixes form submission issues caused by outdated scripts.
When documents fail to render in the personal account, the problem is usually a PDF viewer conflict in the browser. Try downloading the file directly instead of opening it inline. If the download also fails, check your available disk space and temporarily disable any browser extensions that intercept downloads.
Force-close the Elektrum app and relaunch it. If it keeps freezing, check whether an update is available — outdated app versions often have compatibility issues with newer OS releases. On Android, clearing the app cache (not data) through system settings resolves freezing in most cases. On iOS, deleting and reinstalling the app is the cleanest fix.
If service messages or consumption reports aren't reaching your inbox, first check your spam folder. Add the sender domain to your trusted contacts list. If you use a corporate email with strict filtering, ask your IT administrator to whitelist the sending address. For push notifications in the mobile app, verify that notification permissions are enabled at the OS level — both Android and iOS can silently block them after a system update.
