Service info and troubleshooting

Librus App Won't Open at All

If the mobile app freezes on the loading screen or crashes immediately, the most common cause is an outdated version. Check the App Store or Google Play for pending updates and install them. If the app is already current, clear its cache through your phone settings. On Android, go to app info and tap clear cache. On iOS, delete the app and reinstall it — iOS doesn't expose a direct cache-clearing option.

Login Fails Despite Correct Credentials

Double-check that you're using the right login type — Librus separates parent and student accounts, and mixing them up causes authentication errors. If you've confirmed the account type and still can't get in, try resetting your password through the login page. Also check whether Caps Lock is on or your keyboard is switching languages mid-entry.

Grades and Messages Not Loading

This usually points to a connection issue rather than a server problem. Try switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data or the other way around. If the page loads but content stays blank, do a hard refresh in the browser — hold Shift and press F5 on desktop. On mobile, close the browser tab completely and reopen the link.

Notifications Arriving Late or Not at All
  • Make sure notifications are enabled both in the app settings and in your phone's system settings for that app.
  • Check that battery saver or background app refresh restrictions aren't blocking the app from running in the background.
  • Log out and back in — this re-registers the device with the push notification service.
Attachments and Files Won't Download

If files stall at 0% or throw an error, the issue is often a weak or unstable connection. Wait for a stable signal, then retry. If downloads fail consistently on a specific network, the network may be blocking certain file types or domains — switch to another connection and test again.

The Website Is Slow or Unresponsive

Heavy traffic periods — typically Monday mornings or right after report cards are published — can cause significant slowdowns. Waiting a few minutes and retrying usually helps. If slowness persists across different networks and devices, the service itself may be under maintenance. Check the official Librus social media channels for any announcements about downtime or technical work.

Incorrect Data Displayed After Sync

If grades or attendance records look outdated or mismatched, force a manual refresh by pulling down on the main screen in the app. If the data stays inconsistent, log out completely, clear the app cache, and log back in. This forces a full re-sync from the server rather than pulling from locally cached data.
