Wien Energie Website Won't Load

If the site fails to open, start with a hard refresh — press Ctrl+Shift+R on desktop or clear the browser cache manually. Cookies and cached data from older sessions often break the layout or prevent pages from rendering at all. Try a different browser or switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data to rule out a local network issue. If the problem persists across devices, the server may be temporarily unavailable — wait 10–15 minutes and try again.

Login Fails on Personal Account

Wrong credentials are the obvious cause, but not always the real one. Session conflicts happen when you're logged in on multiple devices or tabs. Sign out everywhere, clear cookies, and log back in fresh. If the password reset email doesn't arrive, check the spam folder and make sure the address you're entering matches the one registered with the account.

Online Payment Not Going Through

• Verify that your card supports 3D Secure and that online transactions are enabled by your bank.
• Check that the billing address and card details are entered exactly as your bank has on file.
• Some banks block utility payments from foreign platforms — call your bank and ask them to authorize the transaction.
• If the payment form freezes after you click confirm, don't submit again immediately; wait a few minutes and check your account history first to avoid duplicates.

App Crashes or Freezes Mid-Session

Outdated versions of the Wien Energie app are a common culprit. Update to the latest build through the App Store or Google Play. If the app crashes on launch, uninstall it completely, restart your phone, then reinstall. On Android, clearing the app cache under storage settings often fixes freezing without a full reinstall.

Invoice or Document Won't Open

PDF invoices sometimes fail to load inside the browser viewer. Download the file directly and open it with a dedicated PDF reader. If the download itself stalls, disable browser extensions temporarily — ad blockers and script blockers occasionally interfere with file delivery from utility portals.

Notifications and Emails Not Arriving

Check your spam and promotions folders first. If transactional messages like payment confirmations or contract updates are missing, log into your account and verify that the email address on file is correct and that notification preferences are actually enabled. Add the sender domain to your trusted contacts list to prevent filtering.
