If the page just spins or returns a blank screen, start with the basics: clear your browser cache, try a different browser, and check whether the issue appears on another device. Pronote relies on a specific server infrastructure per school or institution, so the problem is often tied to the establishment's own server being down or under maintenance. If colleagues or classmates can't connect either, the issue is on the server side and you'll have to wait it out.
Double-check that Caps Lock is off and that you're using the correct account type — student, parent, and teacher accounts are separate and use different credentials. If you've recently had your account reset by an administrator, the temporary password may have expired. Contact your school's Pronote administrator directly, not general tech support, since account management is handled locally.
The app caches data aggressively. Pull down to force a manual refresh. If new data still doesn't appear, log out and back in. This clears the local session and forces a full sync with the server. Weak mobile signal can cause the sync to fail silently without showing any error message.
Teachers often attach documents through the internal messaging system. If a file won't open, try downloading it to your device instead of previewing it inline. Some file formats won't render inside the app but open fine in an external app. If the download itself fails, switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi — large files frequently time out on a poor connection.
Go into your device settings and confirm that notifications are enabled for the app. Both iOS and Android have separate toggles for banners, sounds, and badge counts. Also check that battery saver mode isn't blocking background activity, which prevents the app from fetching new alerts in the background.
