Service info and troubleshooting

Magister App Won't Open or Load

If the Magister app refuses to launch or gets stuck on the loading screen, start by checking your internet connection. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to rule out a network issue. Clear the app cache through your device settings, then force-close the app and restart it. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall the latest version from the app store.

Can't Log Into Your Personal Account

Login failures are usually tied to three things: wrong credentials, an expired session, or a browser conflict. Make sure caps lock is off and your school or institution ID is entered correctly. Try a different browser or open an incognito window to bypass cached data. If you've forgotten your password, use the account recovery option on the login page. Persistent issues may mean your account needs to be reset by your school administrator.

Grades and Schedule Not Displaying

When content inside Magister loads partially or shows blank sections, the problem is often a stale cache or a temporary server hiccup. Log out, clear your browser cookies, and log back in. On mobile, pull down to force a refresh. If specific sections like the schedule or grade overview stay empty, the school's data sync may be delayed — wait 15–20 minutes and try again.

Notifications Are Not Coming Through
  • Check that notifications are enabled for the app in your device's system settings
  • Make sure battery optimization is not restricting background activity for the app
  • Confirm that your school has the messaging or notification feature active for your account
  • Log out and back in to re-establish the push notification connection
Messages Fail to Send

If messages get stuck or return an error after sending, first check your connection stability — a weak signal is the most common culprit. Try switching to a stronger network. If the connection is fine, the issue may be on the server side; reload the page or restart the app and attempt to send again after a minute or two.

Files and Attachments Won't Load

Attachments like PDFs or images sometimes refuse to open inside the app. Download the file directly instead of previewing it in-app. If downloads fail too, check that you have enough storage on your device. On desktop, disable any aggressive ad blockers that might interfere with file requests. A slow connection can also cause timeouts — move closer to your router or switch networks.

Service Is Unreachable or Times Out

Server unavailability usually resolves on its own within an hour. Refresh the page, check if the issue appears on multiple devices, and try accessing the service over a different network to confirm it's not your local connection causing the timeout.
